Windows 2000/XP or later
If you are running a Version of Windows 2000/XP or later, then complete the following instructions on the workstation (not the server). This procedure may require IT assistance:
- Download HHReg.zip via the link: http://download.ec-software.com/hhreg.zip
- Extract the content (i.e. HHReg.exe) of this folder onto your desktop
- Double click on the HHReg.exe to run it. Click on 'Add File' and then browse for

(?:\SFUND\SFUND.chm for Simple Fund ?:\CASWIN\CASWIN.chm for CAS and ?:\SLEDGER\SLEDGER.chm for Simple Ledger)
- Exit out of HHReg.exe
(Where ? = server drive where each program is located.)
If you are using Internet Explorer 7, you will need to perform the following instead of the above procedure:
- In Internet Explorer, click Tools - and select Options
- Under security settings, select "Intranet zone"
- Click the "Sites" button, Uncheck the box that says "Automatically detect intranet network".
- Click to check the "Include all network paths (UNCs)".
- Click on the Advanced button
- In “Add this Web site to the zone”, input the name of the drive Simple Fund / CAS is installed eg file:///F:
- Click on Add
- Then download and run the following registry script: chmfilefix - Internet Explorer 7.zip.
- Extract the content (i.e. "chmfilefix - Internet Explorer 7.reg") of this folder onto your desktop
- Double click on the "chmfilefix - Internet Explorer 7.reg" to run it.
You should now be able to view the Help file on your server.
